As a professional development course, you will be expected to complete a large amount of your study through self-directed study. You must complete case studies, projects and other homework as well as practice treatments during self-directed study time.

- The Diploma in Spa Therapies deals with the theory and practical areas of various spa therapies in a spa therapies context.
- This is the most comprehensive, "purest", internationally-integrated and longest-running spa therapies qualification in the South Island, and one of the most comprehensive spa therapies qualifications in New Zealand. This qualification is also the most comprehensive professional development qualification we offer.
- This course includes the Statement of Achievement in Indian Head Massage, Statement of Achievement in Lymphatic Drainage Massage, Statement of Achievement in Spa Aromatherapy, Statement of Achievement in Spa Reflexology and many other areas not included in any other certificate or diploma in our organisation.
- Graduates successfully completing this course become a fully- and internationally-qualified spa therapist as recognised in New Zealand and most countries throughout the world.
- Students who did not complete their beautician or beauty therapy qualification through us (or ITEC, CIBTAC, and/or CIDESCO) may have to undergo Recognition of Prior Learning assessments prior to being accepted to this qualification.
This course is approved by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority under the provisions of the Education Act 1989, and the National School of Aesthetics is accredited to teach it.

Outcome Statement for the Diploma in Spa Therapies
Outcome statement: Spa Therapies graduates should hold the necessary practical skills and theoretical knowledge to safely perform massage, hydrotherapy and other spa therapy treatments independently and competently in an international commercial environment.

Recognised Awards Available
Upon successful completion of the course requirements and final examination, the candidate may be eligible for the following awards. No extra expenses, applications or requirements apply to sit the National School of Aesthetics qualifying examinations in the first instance.

- For this course, we require at least 4 students to be enrolled a week-and-a-half prior to the course starting date in order for it to proceed.
